Workshop on Gender Sensitization for Broadcast Media commenced today

Workshop on Gender sensitization for broadcast media organised by Maldives Broadcasting Commission in association with Common Wealth Broadcast Association, Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union and UNESCO commenced today.
The aim of this workshop is to transform how women are portrayed in media and coach broadcasters to adapt fairness and balance in reporting issues related to women and children and promote gender awareness and equity.
The 3 day workshop, held from 3rd June to 5th June at Mookai Hotel will be conducted by Ms Moneeza Hashmi, President of Commonwealth Broadcasting Association.
