A delegation from Maldives Broadcasting Commission departs to New Delhi, on a eight day Study tour this morning.
The aim of the study tour funded and facilitated by the government of India is to understand how the Indian broadcasting sector functions and learn the best practices in broadcasting regulation.
On this eight day study tour, commencing from 30 June to 8 July Commission’s delegation is scheduled to visit India’s Ministry of Information, Public Service Broadcaster and Broadcast Regulatory Group, Doordashian, NDTV, Zee Channel, Sony Channel, Airtel, Indian Broadcasting Foundation and Community Broadcasters operating in New Delhi.
In addition the delegation will visit Institute of Mass Communication Centre and AGK Mass Communication Centre in order to discuss the possibility of training possibilities for Maldivian Broadcasters in India.
The Maldives Broadcasting Commission delegation consists of President Mohamed Shahyb, Vice President Abdulla Shujau, Commissioner Mariyam Shaugee, Mohamed Aslam and Moomina Adam and International Relations Officer Ahmed Arshad Ali.
