Commission requests verification from Maldives Police Service with regard to the alleged obstacles created to 97 Minivan’s journalist

Commission has asked Maldives Police Service for verification with regard to a complaint received on allegations of obstacles being created by Maldives Police Service to a Journalists from 97 Minivan.
Following is the text of the letter sent to Maldives Police Service by Maldives Broadcasting Commission with regard to this matter.
“We have received a complaint from 97 Minivan that Police has created obstacles and attacked a journalist from 97 Minivan who was covering activities near Indian High Commission in Male. Kindly clarify if this allegation is true and respond to us with your perspective.”
