Commission invites broadcasters to participate in two training programs

Maldives Broadcasting Commission has invited broadcasters to participate in two training programs to be held during the first quarter of the year 2013.

Election coverage workshop is conducted with the aid of United States’ Government and will be held from 20-31 January 2012. The aim of this program is to train media on reporting and covering elections in the light of international best practices in a young democracy like the Maldives.

In addition, a workshop on producing creative content will be conducted in the beginning of February in collaboration with Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development and CFI. This workshop is targeted for Producers and Directors and will aim to develop broadcaster’s creativity and build skills to develop variety of programs.

The Commission continuously seeks assistance from international organizations and donor agencies to obtain opportunities for vital training needed for local broadcasters
