Maldives Broadcasting Commission commences a preliminary research on community broadcasting

Maldives Broadcasting Commission has started to do preliminary research on community broadcasting.
To provide technical assistance for this research Dr. Green, a consultant from Australia will be visiting from 03 December-15 December 2012 with the aid of UNDP.
To gather data for this research, Dr.Green will be visiting Addu Atoll, FuvahMulah and H.dh Kulhudhufushhi . He will also meet interest groups of community broadcasting.
The aim of doing this research is to learn how community broadcasting can be initiated in Maldives and to find ways and levels it can introduced and also to formulate regulations in the light of the research undertaken.
Dr.Green has met the Commissioners of Maldives Broadcasting Commission today.
