President and Vice President elected to Maldives Broadcasting Commission

Former Vice President Mohamed Shahyb was elected today as the President of Maldives Broadcasting Commission. Mohamed Shahyb, the only contestant to the post of President, received four votes in favour of and two against him in a secret ballot held for this purpose today in which all six Commissioners participated.
Commissioner Abdullah Sujah was elected as Vice President with four votes in favour of and two against him.
Former President, Badru Naseer resigned from the Commission on 29 July 2012.
