Maldives Broadcasting Commission and the Communications Authority of Maldives sign a MoU with regard to issuing broadcasting frequencies

Maldives Broadcasting Commission and Communication Authority of Maldives sign a Memorandum of Understanding with regard to issuing broadcast frequencies.

In a ceremony held today at the Commission’s offices, the Chief Executive Mr.Ilyas Ahmed signed the MoU on behalf of the Communications Authority of Maldives and Mr.Badru Naseer, President of Maldives Broadcasting Commission signed on behalf of the Commission.

The major objectives of this Memorandum of Understanding are to study and enhance ways of effectively utilizing the broadcasting frequency spectrum, to collaborate and share experiences from both parties in all aspects related to broadcasting frequencies and to define the roles and responsibilities of both parties in increasing the efficiency of the process of issuing frequencies.

The duration of the MOU is five years effective from the date of signing.
