AIBD calls for participation in the “World TV Awards 2013”

Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcast Development (AIBD) has given the opportunity to a Maldivian broadcaster to compete in “World TV Awards 2013”.

This award is open to public, private and freelance broadcasters of Maldives. AIBD is an organization of which Maldives Broadcasting Commission is a member. Broadcasters from Asia, Pacific, Europe, Africa, Middle East, South America, and North America will be competing for this award. 

According to AIBD, the aim of this competition is to provide the opportunity for television producers to receive international recognition for their work. The prize consists of US$5,000.00 cash, a trophy and a certificate presented by AIBD per award category. The two categories for this award are Category humanity on “Dealing with Natural Disasters” and Category Science/Environment on “Creating Ozone Safe Generations”.

Winners will be presented with their awards during the Asia Media Summit to be held in Manado, Indonesia from 29-31 May 2013.

Producers can submit two programmes per catergory and the deadline for programme submission is Monday, 15 April 2013. Further information with regard to this award is available on the Commission’s website and AIBD website, www.aibd.org.my/worldtv
