Ambassador of the Japan accredited to the Maldives pays a courtesy call to Maldives Broadcasting Commission

Ambassador of the Japan accredited to the Maldives visited the Maldives Broadcasting Commission today.

President of the Commission Mohamed Shahyb welcomed the Ambassador H.E Nobuhito Hobo.

A meeting was held with the members of the Commission and Ambassador. In this meeting President of the Commission Mohamed Shahyb expressed his honour to welcome H.E. Hobo to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission and and thanked the Ambassador for his visit.

Commission members briefed the Ambassador Nobuhito on the work the Commission has undertaken so far in migration from analogue to digital technology in terrestrial broadcasting with the aid of International Telecommunication Union. Commission members also briefed the Ambassador of the work done by National Road Map Team in this regard.

In this meeting, Ambassador Nobuhito recommended ISDBT technology developed by Japan as a beneficial technology to be adopted by Maldives to migrate from analogue to digital terrestrial broadcasting.

In addition to President Shahyb, the meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Commission Abdullah Sujau, Commissioner Ibrahim Ashraf, Commissioner Aishath Hana Secretary General Noora Ali and Director General Mohamed Nasih.
