Training program on Creative Content Production has ended and participants were awarded Certificates on a ceremony held this evening.
The five day workshop which was held from February 3-7th was funded by Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development and Canal France International. A total of 15 participants from different broadcasting stations of Maldives participated in this workshop. This training was aimed for Producers, Directors, Script Writers and Video Editors of both public and commercial broadcasting stations.
During a ceremony held to mark the end of the workshop, President of the Commission, Mohamed Shahyb addressed the participants. In his speech Shahyb said that there are 33 licensed broadcasters in Maldives along with a Public Service Broadcaster in operation and further stressed that in view of the broadcasters competing for the same audience, it is vital for broadcasters to target different segments of the audience and produce programs that are appealing and interesting to these segments.
In his speech Shahyb also conveyed his gratitude to Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcast Development and Canal France International for enabling to organize this training. He also thanked Maldives Broadcasting Corporation for the assistance they have provided in using their equipment and manpower on this program.
In this ceremony, vote of thanks by the participants was delivered by Fathimath Ashwa Faheem from Raaje TV. In her speech she thanked the Maldives Broadcasting Commission for organizing this training. She also said that young people working in media will always appreciate opportunities like this as it gives them educational exposure in their specialized field that they are professionally in need of.
This training is the second such program organized by Maldives Broadcasting Commission this year
