First draft of Regulation to Accredit Journalists has been formulated.

The first draft of the Regulation to accredit journalists, has been formulated by the Commission in accordance with the Freedom of Peaceful Assembly Act (01/2013) enacted.
In a ceremony held to mark the end of the Creative Content Production workshop, President of the Commission Mohamed Shahyb said that the first draft of the regulation to accredit journalist has been shared with Maldives Police Service and Maldives Defense Force in order to seek their views on any discrepancies the said draft has with the respective legislation of Maldives Police Service and Maldives National Defense Force. .
“We have decided to discuss the draft of the regulation with the stakeholders and take in to account their views before finalizing the regulation. Commission has decided to complete all the tasks required to complete the regulation by the end of March” President of the Commission Mohamed Shahyb said in today’s ceremony held to mark the end of the workshop.
Creative Content Production workshop is a five day workshop which was held from 3-7th February organized by Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcast Development and Canal France International.
