Maldives Broadcasting Commission requests three concerned authorities to investigate some matters highlighted on the Human Rights Commission report

Maldives Broadcasting Commission has requested three concerned authorities to investigate the matter of Police and MNDF personnel together with public entering MNBC building and shattering of a door and the creation of fear among employees, which was highlighted on section 3.5.5.4 of the investigative report “The report on human rights violations that occurred on 6&7th February 2012 in Male” published by the Human Rights Commission.

In the report, Human Rights Commission has recommended that the Maldives Broadcasting Commission take necessary action to avoid such occurrences in future. Maldives Broadcasting Commission has requested Police Integrity Commission, Maldives National Defence Force and Maldives Police Service to investigate and provide their findings of the incident to the Commission as soon as possible.
