Workshop to be conducted by Maldives Broadcasting Commission in collaboration with Maldives Red Crescent

The Maldives Broadcasting Commission and the Maldives Red Crescent is to hold a workshop for local broadcasters and media, on the topic “Sensitization Workshop for Media-on reporting in emergencies and situations of violence”.
The aim of the workshop is to increase awareness and responsibility of media in reporting in disaster situations, emergencies and volatile situation.
The workshop will be conducted by local and foreign experts from 3 to 4 July 2012. Invitations for the workshop have been extended to the respective parties.
