Maldives Broadcasting Commission has advised all the broadcasters not to act in any way that may incite violence in the wake of the Commission of National Inquiry releasing its report tomorrow. The Commission further called upon national security forces not to act in way that would limit the freedom of expression and freedom of media which is guaranteed by the constitution.

Maldives Broadcasting Commission has requested three concerned authorities to investigate the matter of Police and MNDF personnel together with public entering MNBC building and shattering of a door and the creation of fear among employees, which was highlighted on section 3.5.5.4 of the investigative report “The report on human rights violations that occurred on 6&7th February 2012 in Male” published by the Human Rights Commission.
