Maldives Broadcasting Commission strongly condemns the attacks on TVM & Raaje TV journalists. Following is the statement Commission released with regard to the matter.
“Maldives Broadcasting Commission strongly condemns the attack on TVM journalists and the brutal assault on Raaje TV’s Ibrahim Waheed. This attack is a cowardly act to prevent freedom of media and create fear among journalists. Commission urges the relevant authorities to find and bring the perpetrators of these criminal activities to justice. The Commission also calls upon authorities to provide the journalists and Broadcasting Stations the necessary protection they need.
